DTF problems and how to fix them
Almost every DTF problem is solved with temperature, time, pressure or better design preparation.

| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Peels after washing | Low temperature, time or pressure; damp garment | Pre-press 3-5 s, check settings, do a second press |
| Cracking | Too much ink or powder, very stretchy garment | Use halftones, cure correctly, stretch less |
| Powder halo | Static or stray pixels | Shake the film well and clean the PNG |
| Yellow or streaky white | Clogged heads or unstirred white ink | Nozzle check, stir the ink, cleaning |
| Press marks | High pressure or sensitive fabric | Lower pressure, use a pillow and Teflon |
| Dull colors | Color profile or low-quality design | 300 dpi design and correct profile |
💡 Before delivery, do a quick check: centered print, no powder, well bonded and correct size.
Frequently asked questions
Why does DTF feel stiff?
Thick layers of ink and powder. Halftones reduce ink and make the print softer.
