Design size

The front of a cap usually carries a design about 3 to 4 inches wide by 2 to 2.5 inches tall.

Equipment

Ideally a cap press with a curved platen. Without one, you can print a patch and then sew or glue it.

Step by step

  1. Pre-press the cap a few seconds to remove moisture.
  2. Center the DTF transfer and secure it with heat tape.
  3. Press with medium pressure according to your film's settings.
  4. Peel and do a short second press with a Teflon sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Can you sublimate a cap?
